An International Conference

Metabolic dysfunction - associated steatohepatitis

January 21, 2026, Eastern Time (USA) | Online

About the Conference

Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) is a progressive form of liver disease characterized by the buildup of fat in the liver, inflammation, and liver cell damage. It falls under the broader spectrum of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) and is closely linked to conditions such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and dyslipidemia. We are pleased to invite you to the MASH (MASH-2026), organized by Impact Research Communications, to be held online on January 21, 2026. This virtual gathering provides an essential platform for academics (e.g., hepatologists, endocrinologists), industry researchers (e.g., pharmaceutical developers, diagnostic innovators), and public health professionals to exchange knowledge, latest advancements, and strategies in understanding and managing MASH. Previously known as nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), the shift to the term MASH reflects a more accurate and inclusive understanding of the disease’s strong association with metabolic dysfunction. MASH can advance silently over time, leading to serious complications such as liver fibrosis, cirrhosis, liver failure, and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). It is estimated that over 115 million people globally are affected by MASH, making it one of the leading causes of chronic liver disease. Despite its growing prevalence, MASH remains underdiagnosed and undertreated, partly due to its asymptomatic nature in early stages and the limitations of current screening methods. There is an urgent need for improved diagnostics, therapeutics, and clinical care pathways. This conference aims to strengthen the global response to MASH by fostering knowledge exchange, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and insights into emerging diagnostics, therapeutic strategies, and models of care.
